Our Mission: to foster vitality in the field of woodturning by providing support and opportunities for the next generation of turners.
How?
- Provide scholarships for turners ages 18-35 to attend workshops, symposiums and other educational opportunities.
- Get tools into the hands of young turners.
- Provide mentorship and connections.
- Foster a community that helps empower the turners of tomorrow.
Why?
Woodturning is a field largely made up of older, often retired individuals – many of whom were first introduced to the craft through shop classes that are now largely absent from schools. At most woodturning events, the lack of younger participants is noticeable. Yet those who do engage bring energy, creativity, and meaningful contributions to the field. TURNmorrow exists to help bridge this gap by supporting and inspiring the next generation of turners, providing resources and opportunities that foster both skill and passion for the craft.
